I DIG ON THE VIBE
As the sole architect of this website, I first would like to apologize for how rudimentary it is in its current state. Let me articulate why I'm developing the Namaste Movement using the Weebly platform. There is a need to determine what kind of traction this concept will generate before considering a massive site with all sorts of servers and backend requirements.
My vision for the Namaste Movement is that as it extends beyond baby steps from the grassroots level, we will build the site together, so there's no need to get all fancy here with plug-ins, images, graphics and such. The site is merely the foundation getting established so we can advance further. I want a time in the not-so-distant future where it resembles a website and not an 'interactive blog.' For now, the simple design gives the audience a feel for the mission of the community—knowing we will strip it down and then build it back up. Please, I have a simple request ... after you've proceeded through all of the sections on the site, I encourage you to look past the written word and instead feel the vibe I'm trying to showcase. I've created a Gmail account with the sole purpose of seeing what sort of traction the Namaste Movement will produce. If you ‘dig on the vibe,' click on the link, and in the subject line, write, "I DIG ON THE VIBE." To get a feel for the extent of the spread of those doing the ‘digging,’ also write where you’re living. i.e. I DIG ON THE VIBE - Toronto, Canada Let's crash the Gmail server, shall we? |
